Every day when we return from breakfast we have journal time. When we finish journals the kids know to get them two or three books and find a quiet place in the room to look at them. While this has taken quite a while to get them to do, this is now one of their favorite parts of the day. I can
truly say that we are growing readers who appreciate books and the entertainment that they provide. We may not be able to read words yet, but we read with our eyes by finding familiar letters, colors, distinguishing day and night, characters and much more in the stories that we are looking at. This is the beginning stages of reading and I am so proud of the kids.
